Anke Feuchtenberger on Ein deutsches Tier im deutschen Wald.

"I would like to speak about my working process on my new book, on which I`m still working. 'Ein deutsches Tier im deutschen Wald.' A german animal in a german forest."

Anke Feuchtenberger was born in 1963 Berlin and studied at the Kunsthochschule Berlin. She has worked since 1989 as an artist. Since 1997, she has been a professor for drawing at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. She is mother and Grandmother.

Her comics and drawings have been published in newspapers like "Die Zeit“ Hamburg, "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung“, "Strapazin“ Zürich, "Süddeutsche Zeitung“ München, and "Internazionale“ Roma.

Around 30 books with her graphic narration are published in different languages and countries. “W the Whore”, a project with writer Katrin de Vries is published and republished in 5 languages. She is also the author of “Der Spalt”, “Die Spaziergängerin”,”Somnambule” ; “Superlacrimella”. Her original work has been shown in single exhibitions in various international galleries, such as Galerie Martel, Paris; Trance Pop Gallery Kyoto; FB69, Münster; Squadro, Galleria/Stamperia, Bologna; and in Museums like Mangamuseum Kyoto; Museum of Art Nanjing; LWL Museum für Kunst und Kultur, Münster; Kunstmuseum Luzern; Museum Buxtehude; Kunsthalle Rostock. She received the lifetime achievement award at Comicsalon, Erlangen and has held comic lectures in Copenhagen, Poznan, Tel Aviv, London, Hamburg, Dresden, München, and Neubrandenburg. Her animated film “Somnambule” was shown at international festivals in Zagreb, St.Petersburg and Bologna. She lives and works in Vorpommern and Hamburg.
