This retrospective visit to the second Ammach conference April 6th 2013, which took place in the Belgrave Rooms, Nottingham has my last featured speaker, SARAH GOODLEY MA speaking. The title of her presentation is Supporting the Child Experiencer - presenting a look at how this should be approached, especially if children do have such experiences.

Sarah has been supporting parents who have had their children taken from them by social services for various reasons, and from their perspective, clearly this is something nefarious. Interestingly, Sarah found out that 50% of the children 'stolen' by the state are rhesus negative, and there was a preponderance of the negative blood groups being targeted by medical and other bodies...that should raise questions...

I had hoped those years back to have started a child support mechanism, as many experiencers do have memories of events happening in childhood, so this is an airing of how we can best approach such a support system, and what it may look like. This is so important, and as Sarah states, the children are the next generation and with positive input and response from adults and peers, regarding this sort of situation, then what powerful, balanced people they would become, with a whole different perspective and ability in life.

Enjoy this short piece, and it is a shame we were not able to record what Kate, Sarah's sister, who was a midwife, had to contribute to the subject.
