This drop in net worth can be blamed on the fall of Meta’s (formerly Facebook) stock price. While 2022 saw many billionaires lose large chunks of their fortune, this is the first net worth wipeout of this scale!

Many people fault Zuckerberg's decrease in fortune on Apple’s ios 14 changes that made it increasingly difficult to track data for advertisers.

This plunge in net worth, however, hasn’t tarnished the billionaire's optimism, which was reconfirmed a few months ago in a Joe Rogan episode where he states that Meta will allow people to have more useful and healthier engagements online.
