Why is the “Respect for Marriage Act” Really Disrespectful?

The Defense of Marriage Act is about elevating gay marriage and making it equal to traditional marriage (one woman and one man). The act is really disrespectful for traditional marriage. It seeks to overturn the bi-partisan Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 (traditional marriage definition). The left fears the Supreme Court will overturn an earlier 2015 decision, Obergefell vs Hodges. Nevermind that scientifically the traditional marriage is the healthiest for kids.
