Russia started using their Lancet kamikaze drones on a large scale in the last few weeks.

The drones have been previously used in this conflict, from the very first few days, but not on such a large scale. The Russian company that manufactures the Lancet drones previously announced they are expanding production facilities and personnel— this was in July. It seems that the numbers of these Zala Lancet drones have gone up significantly.

These kamikaze drones are much more sophisticated and expensive than the highly destructive Geran-2 drones that Russia bought from Iran. If Russia needs to make a big splash against basically any target, regardless of cost, they use the Geran-2.

If Russia needs a pin point accurate hit which can be adjusted all the way to the moment of explosion, on high value targets, they use their domestic Lancet. (which has a much smaller warhead)

Today, 5 footages were released of the Lancet hitting Ukraine’s new hardware as well as a boat of the 🇺🇦 navy and air defense systems.
