Why did Jesus ask forgiveness for those who murdered him?
Forgiveness is often an easy thing to do, but when something serious happens, forgetting about what someone did to you can be very challenging.
That's why the forgiveness that Jesus showed in Luke 23:34 is astonishing. He actually asked God to forgive the people who were trying to have him killed!
Only Jesus could do an extraordinary thing like that, but thankfully, it isn't just Jesus who knows why he did it.
