A heart touching life story of two intimate friends

This is the life story of two close friends. 
Kamal and Rohit were very close companions. They were neighbors, classmates at school, and later work colleagues. One day they decided to go on a sea voyage to explore unknown lands. They began their journey on a cruise ship and traveled far and wide. During their trip, however, the weather deteriorated. The ship was wrecked in the middle of the ocean. Most of the passengers lost their life, but Kamal and Rohit were able to swim to a nearby island to survive. The island was deserted; there wasn't even a tree. Kamal and Rohit realized that without divine intervention they could not survive on the island. They decided to pray to God. They wanted to see whose prayer would be stronger. 
Kamal moved to the eastern tip of the island, rested and began to pray there. Rohit went to the western tip of the island and prayed there. Kamal prayed to God to give him food to survive. Surprisingly, he got plenty of food, fruit and vegetables, on the coast. Two days later he asked for a beautiful girl as his wife as he felt very lonely on the island. A few hours later, a ship wrecked off the island, leaving one survivor; beautiful girl. Kamal married this beautiful girl. Everything Kamal prayed for was granted to him. Almost a month after the shipwreck, Kamal decided to return to his hometown. He prayed to God to send him a ship to take him home. In fact, a ship arrived to take Kamal and his wife home. As the couple was about to board the ship, Kamal heard someone speaking to him. It was only one voice. "Are you going alone and leaving your significant other here?" Kamal was surprised: "May I know who that is and who you mean? My wife is with me!” The voice said, "I am the one you offered your prayers for, asked to save your life, asked for food and shelter, and of course a wife!" Kamal knelt in awe and said, "Glory to you, O God!" Then Kamal remembered Rohit, whom he had forgotten all along. He was full of guilt. God said to him, "I have not answered your prayers. I was only performing Rohit's prayers. He only prayed for one thing! He said, "Please fulfill all of Kamal's prayers." That was his only prayer." Kamal was in tears and rushed to the other side of the island. He realized that he hadn't even thought about his best friend Rohit, but was happily enjoying his own life. He couldn't find Rohit there. He asked God, "Where is Rohit?" God replied, "I took him with me. A man with a heart of gold should be with me! But I will fulfill all your prayers as I promised him! Kamal was completely defeated. He understood why his friend's prayers were stronger. That was because Rohit's prayers were completely selfless.

Moral: Selflessness is the highest form of prayer. We all need to rise above the clouds of ignorance, narrow-mindedness, and selfishness.
