Cristiano Ronaldo put his recent woes with his club Manchester United to one side, as he and his Portugal team-mates arrived in Doha, Qatar on Friday ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ronaldo criticised United manager Erik ten Hag and the Old Trafford hierarchy during a recent interview with TalkTV, and it is now understood 'The Red Devils' are currently exploring their legal options to bring the 37-year-old's second spell at the club to a premature end.

Fernando Santos' side begin their World Cup Group H campaign against Ghana on Thursday, with matches against Uruguay and South Korea to follow.
