Canada: Federal govt announces funding for addictions support programs – November 23, 2022

In Ottawa, Carolyn Bennett, the federal minister of mental health and addictions, announces $15 million in funding to 24 addiction support projects across Canada. She is joined by John Heckbert, executive director of Operation Come Home, an organization which provides support to homeless and at-risk youth. The news conference comes as Canada marks National Addictions Awareness Week.
