Fedor Emelianenko was the ruling Pride heavyweight champion and in 2006 at Pride Shockwave he faced veteran Mark Hunt. Hunt is more well-known for his kickboxing career but began to forge a name for himself in MMA. And against Emelianenko, he would be up against it as the Russian was seen by many as the very best in the world.
