Transplantation of 4 cornus mas (Cornelian Cherry) saplings at the end of November

Sunday, November 20, 2022, four transplants of cornus mas saplings were made.

The light rain that fell in the morning and the heavy rain that followed after noon was a favorable factor for the transplants. Instead, the location of the saplings next to the neighboring fence prevented the spade from tilting 45 degrees and taking the saplings with the root system undisturbed with the soil.
We had to plant them there because there was an automatic drip irrigation pipe.

Of the four saplings, the first two were seedlings and the other two were propagated by cuttings in the ground. The difference is that in seedlings we don't know what size fruit they will produce, while in ground propagation the new tree is similar to the old one.
