George Galphin, an Indian Story

George Galphin was born ca 1708 in Tullamore, Ireland, and came to live in Silver Bluff, S. C. He traded among the Creek Indians in SC and GA. An interesting story is told of a conversation between Galphin and an Indian Chief. He persuaded the Creeks to stay out of the French and Indian Wars of 1760 and 1761
