CDC says abortion rates dropped 2% in 2020

Prior to the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe versus Wade, the number and rate of abortions in the US dropped two percent in 2020. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's findings, which were published Wednesday, were based on abortion data from all 50 states, Washington DC, and New York City. More than 80 percent of the terminated pregnancies in 2020 were performed at or before nine weeks.
