Los Statos Deluxe Churchill Cigar Review - This 7x49 stick features a firmly packed, oily, slightly toothy dark cocoa wrapper with a large double cap and almost non existent soapy aroma. The packaging is 'interesting', being completely enshrouded in tissue paper and paper tube, only after removing, revealing a thin paper band that looks like it was made at home. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with great thick medium-full bodied smoke production showing a smooth, deep earth, nuttiness, cocoa and caramel with a good bit of heat on the short finish. The first third burns fast but well, down to a medium body with notes mellowing, dropping the caramel sweetness to a light earth, slight nuttiness and dry cocoa, with just a hint of spice on the now long finish. The 1/2 way point comes at a relatively quick 30 minutes with notes largely the same just dropping all the spice while the body is back up to medium-full. Ending at 1:10 the last third burned slower, adding back some spice, dropping the cocoa.
