HIGH CERTAINTY | Nicotine Vapes More Effective to Help Smokers Quit | RegWatch

Are e-cigarettes effective in helping smokers to quit? It’s one of the most hotly contested questions in the battle over vaping, but an answer may finally be in hand. According to the latest Cochrane Review of Electronic Cigarettes for Smoking Cessation, there is “high-certainty evidence” that nicotine vapes are more effective than traditional nicotine replacement therapies, such as nicotine patches and gum, in helping people to quit smoking.

Dr. Jamie Hartmann-Boyce, associate professor at the University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences and editor at Cochrane Tobacco Review Group, is joining us today to discuss the new evidence.
