Two miners, aged 56 and 62, were chipping away at a zinc mine in eastern South Korea when a landslide collapsed their shaft, leaving them trapped almost 200 metres underground on Oct. 26. They survived on 30 packets of instant coffee mix until they were rescued on Nov. 4.
