Canada: Federal carbon pricing expanding to three Atlantic provinces in 2023 – November 22, 2022

Steven Guilbeault (minister of environment and climate change) announces the federal carbon pricing system will expand to Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia in July 2023, joining four other provinces currently under the policy. He also announces the rebate amounts for the coming year in provinces with the federal approach.
Also taking part in the news conference on Parliament Hill are Seamus O’Regan (minister of labour and MP for St. John’s South–Mount Pearl, N.L.), Kody Blois (MP for Kings–Hants, N.S.) and Julie Dabrusin (parliamentary secretary to the minister of environment).
