Episode 40: Sacred Sunday- Understanding Your Emotions

As we talked about yesterday, the holidays are coming up, and emotions are going to be at an all-time high. One of the things that I learned about manifesting is how important emotions are to what is currently happening in your life.
When you're angry... it seems like the rest of the world is angry, too. People are rude and short-tempered.
When you're happy, usually people are the same.
What happens is that you are putting off a signal to the universe, based on how you're feeling.
What you need to know:
1. It's OKAY to feel what you're feeling. In fact, if you can, the best thing you can do is sit with it and recognize what thought went through your head to make you feel that way. Maybe it was something someone said or did, which usually translates in our brains as, "I'm not good enough," "I really messed up," "I'm such a disappointment/ failure."
Maybe they did something that made you angry, "I can't they would do something like that," "I don't understand why they would DO that?"
2. Understand that what you're feeling is just a way of letting you know that you are off track. And that's okay!
3. Take a moment to just let the thoughts become clear... "well, if this makes me upset, it's because I'd really prefer x." Looking at things from this perspective help us self-soothe. And as you self-soothe, you feel better.

Just know, it's okay to feel what you feel. And it's okay to not be okay. My desire is that you know that you don't have to stay there. You are not a victim. You are a warrior. You've battled through some of your toughest days, and you're STILL battling them. But you are battling them. You're not alone in your battle.
