Russia launches two nuclear-powered icebreakers from St Petersburg

RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday (Nov. 22) attended, via videoconference, his country’s Russia's Arctic power at a flag-raising ceremony and the launch of two nuclear-powered icebreakers that will ensure navigation in the Western Arctic.
The ceremony was hels in the former capital St. Petersburg, in northern Russia.
Putin said the importance of the Northern Sea Route will increase manifold and the development of northern regions will support Russia's future to a significant degree, according to TASS News Agency.
