SBU IN THE KYIV-PECHORA LAVRA

The infamous "Security Service of Ukraine" SBU confirmed that its agents were conducting a search this morning on the territory of Svetuspenska Kijevo-Pecherska, with the following explanation:

"These activities are carried out in order to: prevent the use of the Lavra as a cell of the "Russian world" and check data on the use of the premises of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for hiding subversive-reconnaissance groups, foreign citizens, storing weapons, etc. We are conducting the search to protect the population from provocations and terrorist acts."

The Kiev-Pechora Lavra is the oldest Orthodox place of worship in the world, it was built in 1051 during the reign of Prince Yaroslav the Wise.

SBU ATTACKED 2 MORE MONASTERIES

In addition to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the Security Service of Ukraine raided this morning the Volyn Icon of the Mother of God women's monastery and the Koretsky Monastery in the Rivne region. Both places of worship belong to the diocese of Saarland-Poland, UPC.

The reasons for the search are the same as in the case of the Kiev-Pechorsk Lavra, the search for: weapons, sabotage-reconnaissance groups and the liquidation of "cells of the Russian world".
