Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal gear up to face Ghana in World Cup opener

Left-back Nuno Mendes was a notable absentee from Portugal's World Cup training session on Tuesday morning.

The 20-year-old Paris Saint-Germain player is suffering from myalgia (muscle pain).

Portugal will begin their Qatar 2022 campaign against Ghana on Thursday, before further Group H games against Uruguay and South Korea.
