A Turkey Struts His Stuff

Once lived a bold turkey who liked to cluck and strut his stuff.
Little did he know that in the end, he'd become a bird stuffed!

He thought he was king of the barnyard as feathers he spread.
He didn't have a clue on a chopping block he'd place his head!

Turkey Tom gave all the girlie turkeys a flirty glance of the eye.
They just clucked and giggled for they knew he was gonna' die!

Farmer John's wife had already been out to their barnyard pen,
And taken stock of which birds were fat and which ones thin!

The girlie turkeys furtively looked at each other and stayed low.
They knew she was visiting to decide which fat one would go!

They had seen the expression of glee when "Fat Tom" she saw.
Instantly, they knew on Thanksgiving he'd be chosen to gnaw!

Cluck, cluck, golly gee, oh me, oh my; their Turkey Tom friend,
Sad to say, Thanksgiving Day strutting days would have to end!

And the barn yard turkey gals continue to search for their Turkey Love!
