A Special Delivery To The Homestead #sheep #sheepfarming #homesteading

This is something that we've been planning for a long time. We first thought that we wanted to get cattle for our pasture. However, after doing our research, we decided that sheep would be the be the best option for livestock on our #homestead.

Today, we had our first sheep delivered to us! We are now the proud owners of 15 Katahdin/Dorper cross ewes!!

Our plan is to utilize rotational grazing practices to keep our sheep on pasture for most of the year. We will be using electric sheep/goat netting from Starkline to set our paddock perimeters, and we will be electrifying it with the Solar Intellishock120 from Premiere 1 Supplies.
