New rental scheme seeks to help needy families achieve stability, self-reliance earlier
2 years ago
The Government is adopting an integrated approach to providing support for lower-income families with children, to help them achieve stability, self-reliance and social mobility earlier. These families will now be automatically placed in the ComLink support programme when they apply for rental flats with HDB. Help includes social, health and community support. Under ComLink’s new rental scheme, eligible families with children will be assigned a ComLink officer once they submit an application for a rental flat. The officer will engage the family to understand their needs and point them towards relevant support plans even before they move into their new home.
