Republican military have completely cleared Donetsk airport territory

Sparta unit commander Artem Zhoga confirmed the completion of the assault.

The offensive was carried out by Sparta forces, together with the 1539 Archangel Michael battalion, OTB tankers and the 238th Artillery Brigade.

As early as 2015, all the airport buildings were controlled by the DNR NM, but the territory is huge, more than 10 square kilometers.

"And there were still Ukrainian positions in the area of Opytnoye," Zhoga said.

They were occupied a month ago, but announced after the retreat of the enemy behind the M4 highway.
