Singapore takes a strong stance against crypto speculation and trading, especially by retail investors. Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said this is even as the country is on the right track to go big on digital assets innovation. He was speaking at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum. Mr Wong recognises digital assets as an important enabler in transforming financial markets, and reiterated the potential in cross-border payments, settlements and capital markets.
