BARS in Leeds were evacuated as a huge blaze erupted in the city following reports of loud explosions.

Flames were seen leaping from a building, which is understood to be a construction site, as smoke filled the city's streets.
Millenium Square was reportedly evacuated and people were seen leaving bars with full pints in their hands.

Fire crews from seven different stations were called to the scene, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said in a statement.

A spokesperson added that the top three floors of the derelict building were still alight around 10pm.
