Protest in Lima ahead of OAS mission visit to Peru.

Opponents of Peru President Pedro Castillo's administration march towards the government palace in downtown Lima before being blocked by the police, a day ahead of a visit from the Organization of American States. Castillo, who is the subject of an unprecedented six open investigations into alleged corruption, asked for the body's help in tackling the country's financial crisis after accusing "the money sectors, the traditional politicians who have always thrived on corruption" of being behind a "coup" attempt against him.
