I hope this doesn't come off as an attack on Bill Johnson or Bethel Church. I just wanted to push back on one of his sermon clips. They have good music. They do many good things. I am just challenging on of his ideas that are pointed to what i feel is bad theology. I feel pastor without training should stay out of this lane. YouTube of full of people creating theology with no training of going into the scriptures deeper.

I heard a clip this week from a Bill Johnson Sermon 2022 and had to push back a bit. He seemed to be emphasizing kingdom now over the return of Jesus. He is right that we want to display full kingdom now. But it should be noted that full victory will only come at the return of Jesus. So if you go to bethel church redding california you are going to want to see this video.

THE RETURN OF JESUS IS JUST AS IMPORTANT IF NOT MORE IMPORTANT AS KINGDOM NOW
The return of Jesus is VERY import for three reasons:
ONE....We will get new bodies that are free of sin and sickness which will be pure and incorruptible. Till then we will be sinful people who can get sick
TWO... The Devil will be BOUND and thrown into the lake of fire. Until then then he will be able to lie, kill, steal and destroy. He will have pain because of this
THREE...No more death, crying and pain. Life will have pain until we have new bodies and satan has been bound permanently

This is a hint toward Bethel Churches eschatological views which i believe are faulty. I will get into that in the longer version of this video to be released soon.

According to Joel Richardson who is a specialist in the end times
Bethel church holds to a post Millennialism
So a majority of the evangelical world holds a Pre Millennialism such as end times specialist Mike Bickel from IHOP

I really find it puzzling that anyone who reads scripture could come to believe in post millennialism
They believe that their will be a major evangelistic revival on earth in which a large majority of people are earth are saved
This will result in 1,000 years of peace on earth and THEN this will user in the return of Jesus
Like i am just scratching my head to how any one who reads the bible can come to this conclusion
I even find it a bit delusional on many levels

Bethel church holds to a Victorious Eschatology or a Partial Preterist View
This means they believe Satan has been completely defeated right now
And we have complete victory over sin, sickness

So although Satan was defeated on the cross
Sin was defeated on the cross
Guilt and shame were defeated on the cross

The fullness of Salvation only comes with the return on Jesus
When we get New Bodies
Satan is bound to the lake of fire for eternity
And only then will their be one more pain

So when Charismatic people boost the full power of the cross in the right now
In many ways it is delusional
It telling people that will not suffer if they become a Christian
And if people fully believe this they will not be ready if hit with sickness
We need to disciple people to believe with faith in healing
But also to train people how to deal if they do not get healed

I believe 100% in healing power of God
I have seen him heal many people
Many of my friends have been healed
I will pray for anyone who is sick with full faith every single time

Yet the sad reality is that not everyone gets healing on this side of earth
And to ignore this would be wrong

So in my humble opinion we are waiting waiting for the Return of Jesus for the full implementation of his victory
