The misleading Anti-2A Viral Tweet from Andrea Junker that got over 12,000 shares stated:

"In 1791, the Second Amendment was written.
In 1847, the bullet was invented.
Thus, the Second Amendment only applies to muskets."

Yet, the first Amendment was also written in 1791, and the internet was invented in 1983, so with Andreas' bird brain logic, the First Amendment would only apply to quill pens and parchment paper.

Yet in 1997, in a case titled "RENO v. ACLU, the supreme court ruled unanimously that the internet is a free speech zone, deserving of at least as much first amendment protection as that afforded to books, newspapers, and magazines.

The founding fathers did not write the bill of rights to tell "the people" what THEY could do; it was written to tell THE GOVERNMENT what they couldn't do.

That's why the very first line of the first Amendment literally says, "CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW" and the last line of the Second Amendment says, "The Right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRIGED"

The 2nd Amendment wasn't limiting what arms the people could have, it was limiting the government's ability to take those arms away from the people.

This is why people need to be educated about the 2nd Amendment and what it stands for because otherwise, people will unknowingly vote to give up their power.
