Here are today’s Kansas City Chiefs rumors & news headlines:
- Odell Beckham Jr. scouting the Chiefs? OBJ tweeted twice about the Chiefs during the Sunday Night Football win as he showed love to Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Is Beckham scouting the teams he could potentially sign with? OBJ was also tweeting about the Dallas Cowboys during their 40-3 win over the Vikings.
- Chiefs rookies stepping up! RB Isiah Pacheco became the Chiefs first 100-yard rusher since Week 4 of the 2021 NFL Seas as he ran for 107 yards on 15 carries last night. Pacheco has rushed for 189 yards over the past 2 games while averaging over 6 yards per carry. With Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffering an ankle injury, there’s no doubt who the Chiefs RB1 is. Rookie WR Skyy Moore also had a breakout game with 5 catches for 63 yards.
- Chiefs Injury Report: Injuries are piling up for Kansas City as 3 WRs are currently injured with Mecole Hardman (IR), Kadarius Toney and JuJu Smith-Schuster all dealing with ailments. RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire is also set to miss time with a high-ankle sprain. Safety Juan Thornhill injured his calf on SNF as well.
- Sign RB Melvin Gordon? The Denver Broncos waived Gordon on Monday and will either get claimed or clear waivers on Tuesday. Gordon has 5 fumbles on the season and has struggled this year by only averaging 3.5 yards per carry. That being said, Gordon has spent his entire career in the AFC West and Clyde Edwards-Helaire is now injured. Could Kansas City sign or claim Gordon?
- NFL Playoff Picture. The 2022 NFL Season is flying by with only 7 weeks left in the season. The Chiefs are on top of the AFC Playoff Picture, but will they remain there? The Bills, Dolphins, Titans and Ravens are all very much alive for the top seed in the AFC.
