Operation Resolute safeguarding Australia’s maritime approaches, offshore territories and borders

From 10-22 October 2022, Australian Defence Force personnel deployed from Darwin to conduct long-range patrols on remote islands off Western Australia as part of Operation RESOLUTE.

The patrols searched the islands for foreign fishing vessels and evidence of illegal activities by conducting foot patrols, water patrols, observation posts, and information gathering.
Operation RESOLUTE is the Australian Defence Force (ADF) contribution to the whole of government (WoG) effort to protect Australia’s borders and offshore maritime interests.
