The history of the Albanian double-headed eagle

In ancient cultures around the world, the eagle has often been regarded as the representative of the gods. Throughout human history, the eagle symbols have played a significant role not only in spirituality but also as symbols of social and political positions.
Unlike the symbol of the single-headed eagle, the double-headed eagle (which we will cover more generally in this video), has a more powerful meaning and is often referred to various empires.

In regards to the highly debated questions behind the history of the Albanian state symbol, we aim to clarify a few misconceptions by mapping out when it first appeared in Albanian heraldry and who they inherit it from.
