Cristiano Ronaldo trains with Portugal ahead of facing Ghana in World Cup opener

Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal teammates trained on Monday morning in Qatar as they continue their preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The session came after Ronaldo spoke for the first time since his explosive interview, in which the 37-year-old said he felt betrayed by his club, Manchester United.

Addressing the media on Monday morning in Doha, Ronaldo said: ''In my life, timing is always timing. From your side it is obviously easy to give your opinions and write things. I don't have to worry about what others think. I am totally convinced this won't have any influence on the Selecao'', Ronaldo said.

Following the Talk TV interview with Piers Morgan, the club have revealed they are exploring legal options to bring the forward's second spell at Old Trafford to a premature end.

Fernando Santos' Portugal side begin their World Cup campaign against Ghana on Thursday, before taking on Uruguay and then South Korea in Group H.
