Snow and ice and water plunge 💦

A whole lot of snow, the challenge of going in the water today wasn't mental aversion to cold water, it was the physical challenge of wadding through knee high snow and eventual ice to get into the water....

Very short plunge today due to my concerns about getting out of the water and going back through the knee high snow with wet feet in contact with snow.

None the less I made it back and I think the short duration in the water made it sort of a non event. The real challenge is getiting warm footwear on as my ski boots have very tight laces that freeze and are a hard synthetic leather like material that is quite firm so when feet freeze and swell up it makes it challenge to get them on and off. The water shoes I brought for when I got out of the water wouldn't stay on my feet wading through the snow so they also got filled with compacted snow.. none the less once I got to a road I was able to spend some time getting my ski boots on. Still in subzero temps gloves would make sense if you are carrying skis as the binding metal has that wet hand freezing to metal effect and skis themselves have snow so you need to carry something with snow. So I need to find a better footwear solution and a better hand solution but otherwise more of the same in the water.. AND there were tons of geese today
