An initiative called “Fukuyose Hina” is currently underway chiefly in Aichi and Gifu Prefectures in which used hina dolls are collected and given a second chance to be seen and enjoyed. The dolls are often displayed in poses from modern life, such as playing sports or even representing scenes from news stories.
