Today's exploration was at the Ruins of Talisay, also called the Taj Mahal of the Philippines by some. This ancestral mansion was built by wealthy sugar baron Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson on a 440-hectare sugar plantation in Talisay City, Negros Occidental. Mr. Lacson constructed it in 1911 as a memorial to his wife Maria Braga Lacson, who died during the birth of their eleventh child. Join me as we learn more about this famous ancestral mansion and why it now sits in ruins.
