Operation Mainstay

Operation Mainbrace, a NATO training exercise involving eight NATO countries (the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Denmark, Norway, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the New Zealand military. 80,000 soldiers, over 200 planes and around 1,000 ships, somewhere off the coast of Denmark and Norway in September 1952.
