WWII Japanese submarine to be examined for the first time
1 year ago
A Japanese submarine which sank off the coast of Darwin during the Second World War will be examined for the first time.
Archaeologists and technical divers will join film crews embarking on the expedition later on today.
It’s part of a documentary which is set to reveal new information about one of the territory’s most important maritime history sites.
The film is anticipated to be released on the anniversary of the Darwin bombing next year.
