Jose Mourinho and his agent Jorge Mendes receive awards from Liga Portugal

Jose Mourinho and Jorge Mendes were awarded "Best Career Coach" and "Best Career Agent" during the "Thinking Football Summit", hosted by Liga Portugal.

Mourinho, the AS Roma head coach, was in jovial mood.

"Obviously, I want to thank the 'Liga' in the person of the president, Pedro Proenca (former international referee), who I think the first time he saw me, sent me off... I think."

"At a press conference two days after a Champions League final, I was confronted with doubts as to whether I could do well or badly. Today, this question is no longer posed," he added.
