SGN News Blast: Poland installs Monitoring Gear on Belarus Border Wall

Poland completed the first stage of the electronic monitoring devices installation on the metal wall at the border with Belarus, as footage filmed in the town of Nomiki shows.

The installations reportedly continue on further sections of the 206-kilometre wall to prevent migrants from entering the European Union through Belarus.

Last year, the shared border between Poland and Belarus became the site of a major crisis as thousands of migrants attempted to illegally cross into the EU state.

Poland is also building a barrier on the border with Russia's exclave of Kaliningrad.
