Music has been Lyman Gandee's life. He played piano with a theatre pit orchestra accompanying the silent movies. While there a kindly theatre manager advised him to switch to organ. It wasn't long until Lyman was appearing as a featured added attraction at the "Mighty Wurlitzer". Then along came Kay Kyser. Lyman joined him on piano, occasionally getting to play the organ as accompaniment to the Kyser Glee Club numbers. At Universal Studios he played organ, piano, and Novachord, and background to over a thousand movies. One of the highlights was piano to the "Glenn Miller Story".
