UCSB Holds Racist + Segregation Affirming Event ; and that's "Okay" right? Wakanda

The University of California Santa Barbara, UCSB, held a screening of them movie Wakanda Forever put on by the Black student group, imploring white people not to attend. This is the antithesis of Martin Luther King's I have a dream speech where he employed people to judge him by the content of his character, not the color of his skin.
I don't understand why the progressives believe that this is "progress" and acceptable.
