While reporting at the United Nations COP27 climate change conference in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt, Channel News Asia reporter Julie Yoo suddenly collapsed. This happened on November 9th, 2022.

Her case is merely the most recent in a long string of sudden, unexpected and above all, unexplained collapses and deaths. Scientists have pointed to climate change as likely the main culprit.

It is therefore rather fitting that Julie collapsed at the climate change conference. Her generous timely sacrifice for humanity reminds us all of the urgency and importance of taking immediate action to solve this climate crisis.

Climate change has rapidly increased since December of 2020. Luckily, everything is not lost. Here is a 3 step plan to solve this emergency:

1. It is imperative to immediately and drastically reduce our CO2 footprint.

2. It's crucial to stay up-to-date on all our shots. After all, collapsing while we are infected is extremely dangerous to ourselves and especially our loved ones.

3. We must all make sure to keep adequately fed and hydrated. Since 2021, hypoglycemia and dehydration have often been mentioned as co-factors in these tragedies.
