After seeing so many people at the AFL Grand Final singing along to Robbies version of "You're the Voice" by John Farnham, it got to the part in the song with the line "We're not gonna sit in silence, we're not gonna live with fear..." and I said to my dad at the time "How can so many people sing those words after so many of them complied with the lockdowns and mandates. They say they aren't gonna live with fear, but they all just went along when it mattered" And, because I had been thinking of doing a chorus/ensemble of something for quite a while, it occurred to me that Weird Al's "Don't Download This Song" was such a perfect fit!
