Last weekend, I went out to the property where we're storing our travel trailer until it sells and filled old nail holes, touched up paint, and made sure everything was ready to go.

And it's crazy.

It's crazy to think about how much has happened since we first bought our home-on-wheels. We've been through so much, not just with this particular rig but also with our lives in general.

The person I am today is not the person I was back when I first started renovating this space. We bought the trailer weeks after I was released from the hospital after receiving life-saving surgery and care for a vicious dog attack. Although we needed a home and that's why we bought it, I needed a place to pour my energy into as I navigated the new terrain of my life, post- dog attack.

It became a space of healing and learning and love, and I have so much gratitude for the things I learned while we were calling this rig our home. It triggered an evolution that it continuing today. I know that whoever ends up with this travel trailer next probably won't have the same feelings about it, but I hope they'll be able to tell that it was built out with love and intention. And, even if it's on a much smaller scale, I hope it facilitates adventure and change for them as much as it has for us.
