Canada: Canada proposes Halifax as home for new NATO innovation hub – November 18, 2022

Speaking with reporters in Halifax, Anita Anand (minister of national defence) announces a proposal to establish an innovation hub in the city for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The purpose of the hub is to facilitate cooperation between NATO’s military members and the science and technology sector. The news conference comes ahead of the 14th annual Halifax International Security Forum, where Anand will join with other political and defence leaders from around the world.
Also taking part in the event are Sean Fraser (minister of immigration, refugees and citizenship), Admiral Rob Bauer (chair of the military committee of NATO), and Andy Fillmore (MP for Halifax).
