Moving Our RV Onto The Homestead

In this video we finally tackle moving onto the property in our RV…It’s going to get interesting because we have a HUGE wash that we have to get it through!

Hey and welcome! We are Douglas and Keri! In May of 2022 we quit our jobs and sold our home near Denver, Colorado to move to our off grid homestead property in the high desert of Cochise County, Arizona. Follow along with us as we build our homestead with our two rebels, Willow & Zoey and our kitty, Boo.

Our time at the RV park has finally come to an end and we are so excited to FINALLY get onto the property and really start getting some work done! We are really over driving back and forth and the extra gas $ and time that that takes.

We waited until we thought it would be dry enough and tried our best to time it between monsoon rains. I can definitely say it was super nerve wracking as we prepared to make the final pull and wondering if we were going to get stuck or not! We had a plan though…we had shovels and we keep sand boards on the roof of the car at all times. We also could have brought the tractor down to give us that extra pull that we may have needed :)

Amazingly, we had NO ISSUES at all! The car didn’t have any problems and we think the little amount of rain we had gotten out there either late the night before or earlier that morning may have helped firm the sand up a bit!

We were so grateful and thankful that everything went smooth. We appreciate all of your prayers and positive thoughts :)
