This car drives so smooth!! From Cadillac in the 1970's, for personal driving luxury, the Eldorado Coupe was just the thing! If you wanted that personal luxury with the exhilaration of top down driving, you had one last chance to buy an Eldorado Convertible! The announcement was made that 1976 would be the last year for the convertible, making the 1976 models instant classics! In addition, the 500ci V8 was last used in the 1976 model. One major upgrade for the 1976 model was disc brakes all around and automatic door locks. this car is a wonderful addition to any garage or collection and an exciting car to drive! This beauty has just been sitting in the garage for 30 years. This is a nice example of the most collectible of the Eldorado Convertibles and did I mention it drives very smooth?! The Eldorado was given rectangular headlamps a new egg crate grille four wheel openings sans fender skirts and sharper crisper lines resulting in a sleeker appearance appearance reminiscent of 1967-70 models. These styling cues carried over for the 76 model year but changed slightly with a new grill with the word Cadillac written in Script on the drivers side top corner. The 1976 Eldorado was a very successful car to sell approximately 14,000 were sold because at the time GM claimed they would no longer be producing convertibles. That was true the next 8 years. The Eldorado has long been associated with Cadillac and was always at the top of Caddys hierarchy with the models. Will consider trading for equipment, trucks, real estate etc!
