Could this Snake be the "Rainbow Serpent"?

he Water Python ( Liasis fuscus ) is a large python species living in Northern Australia. They specialise in eating rodents as well as frogs in and around streams. Even though their name suggests, they aren't actually aquatic, they spend most of their time out of the water, although live around water. They have an incredible iridescent sheen which is found in a lot of snakes giving a rainbow appearance. In some aboriginal dreamtime stories there is a Rainbow Serpent. Speculation about which species of snake this is, it could be the Water Python. Though it is quite likely to be the Oenpelli Python.
